SATURDAY 20TH APRIL 2013, UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI
The Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì (HSK), (Chinese: 汉语水平考试), translated as Chinese Proficiency Test, is the People’s Republic of China’s only standardized test of Standard Chinese language proficiency for non-native speakers, namely foreign students, overseas Chinese, and members of ethnic minority groups in China.
The test is administered by Hanban, a non-government organization affiliated with the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
In Kenya the HSK Examinations are offered in University of Nairobi twice a year, April and December. This months examinations were abit different in that they included a free HSKK (Oral) Exam alongside the normal one to the shock of most students who complained that they were not told earlier.
