Confucius Institute KU New Vehicle

The New Foton 7-Seater Van The Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University yesterday acquired a white Foton 7-Seater Van for their operations.  The vehicle was flagged off by Prof. Mugenda, Vice Chancellor – Kenyatta University. The event which took place just outside KU Admin Block, was well attended by Chinese lecturers, students and KU admins + board members.

During the event, the distinctly red Chinese flag was widely seen with a number of Kenyan flags here and there.

All in all the VC noted that she was happy with the CI for their growth citing that Chinese was a rapidly growing language here in Kenya. She also added that the van should be put into good use.

We the students were taken for a short ride perhaps to feel the excellent suspension and quiet engine. Here are some photos of yesterdays event.

After the ceremony, tea was provided at the Confucius Institute’s offices for the attendees to share a light moment before everybody departed from where they had come from. Big thanks to KU CI for that tea 🙂
